KUA MP is a system for regulating AC power transmission in the DEL-02 diesel train

KUA MP consists of two functional blocks:

1. Regulation Block – for controlling excitation
2. Control Block – for generating operating mode setpoints for power transmission and controlling actuators

1. Maintaining constant power of the power transmission with limitations on the maximum allowable values of the traction generator (TG) voltage and traction asynchronous motor (TAM) current, which allows for the use of the full diesel power for traction
2. Limitation of voltage, current, and power values depending on the diesel engine speed, as set by the driver’s controller (KM)
3. Stability of braking force and power set by the driver’s controller (KM), with limitations on the maximum values of braking current, braking force, and magnetic flux of the traction asynchronous motors
4. Voltage regulation of the traction generator (TG) depending on the diesel engine's speed
5. Checking the external traction characteristic of the traction generator (TG) at a single point on the characteristic curve with load applied to the braking resistor
6. Organization of digital channels for transmitting main control signals to the control and display systems
